Taylor Phinney’s got some very cool looking shoes from Giro to go with the Maglia Rosa

Raleigh ‘Heron’ embossed Selle San Marco Rolls saddle. The re-upholstery produced by Busyman Bicycles in Melbourne - is everything coming from around there these days? - is superb. Here is the website and there was a nice feature yesterday on Cool Hunting
Great poster and video for Make Your Bike with Dario Pegoretti.
An amazing opportunity that plenty would give their right arm for. Andrew Denham from The Bicycle Academy in Frome is one of the 15 who wrote a suitably passionate letter to get on the course in Verona.
The current criticism of Andy’s too hard. The other top favorites for the Tour victory total are not in better shape. One should never forget this. —
- Maxime Monfort, post Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2012 (via Wort.lu - Andy Schleck: “Rennen lief einfach nicht wie geplant”).
I give Maxime respect for sticking up for his pal but it got me thinking about what the other Tour favourites have done so far this season.
Not including: Tony Martin (has not stated GC as the Tour as a goal, early yellow only and also out of action), Ivan Basso (headed to Giro), Michele Scarponi (headed to Giro), Joaquim Rodriguez (Giro), PhilGil (not a GC boy) or Frank Schleck (solemate).
The other Tour contenders may not be in peak form either but they’ve certainly been out there actively competing and getting some results in the bag.
Andy Schleck is comparable to Basso this season. Andy has in fact finished more races than Basso in 2012 but compared to other Tour de France hopefuls? No. But it was a nice try, Max.

Well it’s nice to see that Andy does have the support of his teammates. Frankly I’m sick of Andy-bashing, lets see if some positive encouragement from his fans and teammates can turn his season around, even a little…. #wecanonlyhope

Just a quick tip to all of our cycling fans out there: being PRO entails more than just riding fast. Never have a poorly pinned number again.
